1000 gram = 1kg
1000kg = 1 ton

1000g = 1kg

Cross multiply
1000 × m = 2000 x 1
1000m = 2000
m = 2000 = 2kg

Solution
To change from kg to grams, multiply by 1000
5kg = 5 x 1000
= 5000 grams
