Location: Ikoyi, Lagos Job Summary A patient coordinator functions as the primary point of contact between health care professionals and patients in a practice. The patient coordinator will perform administrative tasks such as greeting/welcoming patients, answering calls, responding to inquiries, managing schedules, arranging appointments, processing payments, gathering information, and keeping records. A patient coordinator will also be responsible for consulting with patients and determining their needs, developing care plans, coordinating patient-care services, educating them about their condition, and working with the clinical team to evaluate interventions. Responsibilities Consult and collaborate with other health care providers and specialists to set up patient appointments and treatment plans. Check-in on the patient regularly and evaluate and document their progress. Answer patient calls, emails and questions, including finding insurance estimates. Confidentially manage patient accounts Work as a team player to ensure each patient receives the best service possible. Assist the care team with developing and assessing health interventions. Consult and collaborate with other health care providers and specialists to set up patient appointments and treatment plans. Check-in on the patient regularly and evaluate and document their progress. Requirements A Degree in Nursing or any related field License is required. At least 2-3 years' experience in care coordination or clinical practices. Good verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
