MARKETING MANAGER – Job Description As Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping Taremtec to promote and market its products to its customers. The candidate would lead and influence the way Taremtec products are perceived in the market and the duties should cover the entire spectrum of the company’s business operations. The ideal candidate therefore would need to work in close collaboration with the Managing Director and the Directors in UK and Nigeria, the clients and other Business Development Managers and several corporate bodies and governmental agencies in Nigeria. Education A good degree in any Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant social science related courses is required to work as a Marketing Manager in Taremtec Nigeria Limited. A masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate needs to have had prior marketing experience in the IT industry. Responsibilities and Duties The successful candidate would be required to do the following: Work with the executive team, such as the Managing Director and Business Development Managers, to set the marketing strategy for the business. Researching and analysing market trends and competitors with a view to maintaining the company product’s brand leadership. Overseeing Taremtec products marketing campaigns; by developing new markets for the company. Tracking effectiveness of above marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the executive team. Negotiating and liaising with clients with a view to ensuring product acceptability and continuous patronage by Estates, Corporate, Educational organisations. Hold relevant meetings with clients and develop strategic plans aimed at successful deployment of Visitor Mgt System and Resident Visitor Mgt System to those clients. Looking after the budget of the marketing process and making sure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment. Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures and leaflets. Writing and delivering content and social media plans. Responsible for developing strategic plans for Taremtec business processes. Develop the strategic plan for Taremtec Nigeria and also ensure that the designated operational plans and strategic plans of the organization are met. Responsible for managing the designated marketing resources of the company. Arrange for the demonstration of VMS and RVMS software as and when requested by clients. Responsible for all the marketing processes from the client sourcing to the actual sales, invoicing and payment by designated client. Provide regular report to your designated superiors regularly and may be required to prepare daily, weekly, monthly, mid-year and end-year reports on progress made. Technical Skills The ideal candidate would be expected to possess basic computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Ms Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint will be a plus. Should have critical skills to analyze and interpret basic accounting data and have basic budget preparation skills, too. Should be able to have contract and procurement making skills and negotiation skills. Desirable Qualities A Marketing Manager interacts with a lot of people both within and outside the organization. Good, positive attitude to work is therefore highly desirable for this position. The Marketing Manager should also have good diplomatic and interpersonal skills. He / She should have good communication skills, written and oral and should be able to manage clients, corporate bodies, and drivers, coordinate teams and be a self-starter. He / She should have good leadership and administration skills and relevant experience in transport and logistics industry or general business management in Nigeria. The candidate should network and maintain a good working relationship with other stakeholders in the industry and in the country. He / She should have good judgment and decision-making skills.
