LACT Unit Engineer Operator at Alfred & Victoria Associates


Job Summary To operate the Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) Unit and any other field meters including the Quality Loop as may be determined by the company to ensure accurate crude oil delivery into third-party manifold / Pipeline, safely and within agreed specification to ensure accurate production volume allocation to the company. Responsibilities Operate, maintain and carry out daily checks on all the equipment on the LACT UNIT and prover Loop at specified intervals as may be determined by the company standard operating procedures to ensure accurate production volume measurements ad allocation to the company. Keep track and document hourly of the installed custody transfer meters, inline autosampler, line pressures, and other instruments on the LACT UNIT in other to ensure they are performing; at their optimal level to enhance production efficiency and meet allocated production volume delivery. Responding and troubleshooting alarm signals from the control units and rectifying abnormal conditions. To oversee all operation and maintenance activities within the location and report to the maintenance and operation supervisor. Provide regular and necessary feedback on all measurement issues at the LACT UNIT to designated authorities in other to ensure that the LACT UNIT is operated arid maintained at 100% availability level. Monitor and ensure the Lab Technologist carries out accurate monitoring of crude oil quality BS&W, API, etc. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrument / Petroleum Engineering disciplines or Numerical Sciences. A minimum of 5 years of oil & gas production operations experience Good understanding of industry best practices and maintenance principles Time-management and multitasking abilities Commercial awareness.
