Naropa Grants for International Students in USA Established in 1974, Naropa University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Boulder (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Colorado. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, Naropa University (NU) is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 1,000-1,999 students) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Naropa University (NU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 45 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students’ past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this US higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Winners will receive the award amount ranging from $3,000-$10,000 to complete their studies in the USA.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: To apply, claimants have to take admission in the undergraduate degree programme at the university.
  • Supporting Documents: Undergraduate applicants must submit all required academic records from non-U.S. schools to a NACES-recognized agency for evaluation, regardless of country citizenship, copy of a valid passport, and proof of finances.
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Language Requirement: International applicants must document their English language proficiency by submitting scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) tests. Applicants must earn the following required scores:
  • TOEFL- Internet test (iBT): 80 or higher Computer test (CBT): 213 or higher Paper test (PBT): 550 or higher
