PRINTER: This is an output device, which can be used to produce Hardcopy output.
TYPES OF PRINTER
The types of printer are listed below;
- Impact Printers
- Non-impact Printers
IMPACT PRINTERS
This is a type of printer, which usually make contact with paper while printing. It is usually noisy.
Examples include:
- Daisy Wheel Printer
- Dot Matrix Printer
- Line Printer
NON-IMPACT PRINTERS
This is a type of printer, which do not make contact with paper while printing. It is usually less noisy than the impact printers.
Examples include:
- Ink Jet Printer
- Laser Printer
- Thermal Printer
